MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Set within the Seagram Building and once part of the venerated Four Seasons restaurant, this iconic dining room has been reinvented by the team behind Carbone and ZZ's Clam Bar. Beneath ceilings that reach for the sky, the imposing arena is structured around a marble pool surrounded by elaborate flower planters that are replaced weekly. Shimmering beads obscure the windows of a space decked out with walnut paneling, blue banquettes and custom Knoll armchairs. The menu spotlights seafood, including classics like whole fish deboned tableside, crudo, as well as a lavish caviar service. Don't miss the tome of Chateau d'Yquem as it showcases bottles that date back to 1811, and represents one of the best collections in the country, if not the world.
