MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
The ultra-stylish 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge needed an equally hip restaurant to match, and The Osprey fits the bill. Considering its prime location and singular views (don’t miss that incredible Manhattan skyline from the rooftop bar), they easily could have mailed it in. But no, this culinary gem was intent on making its own name—and they more than achieve that goal by offering excellent food that tastes as good as it looks. The menu is varied and, as the flight pattern of the namesake bird suggests, apt to wander. There are nibbles, vegetarian-centric dishes and heartier rotisserie meats. Duck croquettes are paired with a creamy sauce spiked with piquillo peppers, and may be tailed by a simple branzino enriched with black olive tapenade and Puy lentils.
