MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The Loyal may be destined to become your new favorite American brasserie. This thoughtfully designed space is classy, comfortable and full of interesting art and tidbits; when full, the room’s energy is palpable.
The menu is expansive, so there is bound to be something for everyone. Chef John Fraser does not strive to reinvent the wheel, but serves beautiful, upscale renditions of American items. Try crisp, cool radishes served over smoked trout gribiche with pearls of trout roe. Then sample house-made pici tossed in a creamy and umami-rich mushroom carbonara with bits of delicious guanciale. Classic desserts make it impossible to go wrong, whether you opt for the crowd-pleasing ice cream sundae or baked Alaska with Bourbon caramel.
