MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Tucked inside the Financial District's Beekman Hotel, which marries old-school glamour with modern indulgences, Temple Court is a stunning spot long on charm with a cozy atmosphere. The luxe dining room finds its match in ceiling-high stained glass windows, but the Bar Room is worthy of an early arrival (or extended departure) simply for the chance to ogle the impressive nine-level atrium.
This culinary and architectural feat hails from the Colicchio restaurant family, and Chef Carlos Benedicto composes French-inspired dishes with Mediterranean twists. Think of beef bourguignon with dry-aged sirloin and braised short ribs, or ricotta agnolotti with peas, ramps, spring garlic and earthy morel mushrooms. Lunch is a particularly good value.
