MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

This latest addition to David Chang's ever-expanding empire is set high up inside The Shops at Hudson Yards. However, this operation is no mere clone of Momofuku; in fact, thanks to the talents of head chef Eunjo Park, it flaunts a menu that is strongly rooted in Korean flavors and traditions. The space is designed to the hilt, showcasing herringbone hardwood floors, backlit wood paneling, gold beam accents and red leather banquettes. Anchoring it all is an open kitchen where chefs can be found assembling the likes of crudos, stews and kimbap, which are stuffed with everything from foie gras to flank steak. Sizeable mains like yellowfin tuna, hamachi and soft rice is wrapped in nori and served with spicy chili oil to make for a particular highlight.
