MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

In a city that prides itself on diverse eats, this fresh bistro offers one of the few true places for Cambodian cuisine. Inside, the stone-accented room is lined with richly stained wood and woven rattan furnishings. Owned by husband-and-wife team Minh and Mandy Truong, what sets this kitchen apart is that its food is all about the contrasts—sweet and bitter, salty and sour, fresh and cooked. For evidence, look no further than the texturally exquisite mango salad tossed with slivers of red pepper, peanuts and toasted coconut. Marinated meat skewers, sour soups and curries also make an appearance here, but there are more unique items to be explored—like loc lac, starring tender cubes of beef glossed in a garlic sauce and tempered with cool cucumber.
