MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
You might think everyone comes to Wood for the great music and cheeky cocktail list (Strictly Platonic, anyone?), or even the audaciously dubbed “Morning Wood” brunch on weekends. But really, it’s Chef Ashlee Aubin’s menu that keeps this sleek dining space packed every night. Generous portions and that irresistibly lively atmosphere (a little bit sophisticated, a little bit disco) only seal the deal. Aubin has crafted a rotating, seasonal menu that's concise but packs a hefty punch. Imagine wood-oven flatbreads, topped with fennel sausage and wilted greens, melt-in-your-mouth steak tartare or tangles of spaghetti con vongole. Dinner on the other hand might involve a juicy bone-in pork chop, hearty cheeseburger, tender roasted chicken and seared scallops.
