MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Across from Wrigley Field and brought to the Windy City by the Boka Group, this casual spot is well-tread by oyster-slurpers and beer drinkers. The mien is airy and modern, with large windows and colorful accents; downstairs, wood floors give way to black-and-white tiles around the horseshoe bar. Service walks the line between casual and skillful.

A selection of raw oysters puts patrons in the mood for seriously good food. From there, proceed to an offering of these bivalves—baked, sizzling, and served with crusty bread for a heady spread. Then a giant, house-made pretzel is matched with warm queso for decadence galore. Po'boys are beloved by lighter appetites, while the fried chicken or hanger steak frites with horseradish cream promises to feed an army.
