It’s Mother’s Day every day at Mable’s Table, where Chef/owner Anthony Reyes pays homage to his own mamá with a spectrum of classic comfort food. This “table” is big on the cozy factor—just one of the reasons you’ll find everyone here, from couples and children to suits closing deals over meals. The menu may be concise but dishes leave a lasting impression. Whitefish is prepared simply with a crispy pan-sear and finished with a light Meyer lemon-butter sauce. Then move on to the pièce de résistance—porchetta bollio loaded with juicy, roast pork full of layers of sweet fat, dill pickles and cheese. It is quite simply heaven on a roll, with a side of fries, natch. For a balanced feast, finish with a wonderfully tart slice of key lime pie.
