MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The good folks at the Boka Restaurant Group have done it again with Bellemore, a West Loop beauty that has tongues wagging across town. Headed by the extremely talented Jimmy Papadopoulos (of Bohemian House), this menu showcases contemporary American items that employ the most pristine of ingredients. Unsurprisingly, the results practically shine in the seared scallops with kombu butter, grapefruit, and breadcrumbs; as well as pork collar with smoked grits, turnips, carrots, and pickled peppers. Desserts, like the sticky banana cake with butterscotch, chai, and buttermilk, keep fans returning.
The buzzy interior lights up even more at night with convivial chatter, as guests soak in the stunning setting, lined with rounded booths and striking chandeliers.
