Where to Eat Thanksgiving Dinner in Chicago

Here are five Michelin-recommended restaurants for you to celebrate the holiday.

Thanksgiving day will be here before we know it. Though many spend hours (or sometimes days) preparing for the annual feast at home, others opt to take the less arduous route by making a reservation instead. For those of you looking to have someone else do the heavy lifting, here are five Michelin-recommended restaurants to consider for celebrating the holiday in Chicago.

Acadia

Dining at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant sure sounds like a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving. The kitchen is offering a five-course menu for $95 per person with wine pairings available for an addition $65. Courses include chestnut soup, celery truffle espuma, sweet bread schnitzel and red vein sorrel; lobster with spinach, squid ink gnocchi and bisque; and pumpkin cake with bourbon maple frosting, pecan mousse and spruce yogurt ice cream.

Bistronomic

"Oxblood walls, gray banquettes and a central bar play up the bistro feel" of the dining room, according to inspectors. Bistronomic is offering a three-course prix fixe menu for $65 per person. Options include Belgian endive salad with blue cheese, black mission fig, caramelized walnut and arugula; roasted turkey breast and stuffed leg with chestnut stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, glazed quince and haricot vert; and a lemon tart for dessert. Turophiles can add a cheese plate for an additional $15.

"Polished black, white and wood décor speaks to the finer things in life," say inspectors of this River North steakhouse. For Thanksgiving, they are offering four courses for $90 per person with a combo of dishes just for the holiday and some of the restaurant's signature dishes. Yes, there is beef on the menu, but other options include a fall harvest salad, aged Parmesan risotto, both roasted and fried turkey and the kitchen's famous 14K chocolate cake.

Nico Osteria

This Italian restaurant in the Gold Coast is offering a special four-course $85 prix fixe for the holiday this year. The menu features a combination of Italian and more traditional Thanksgiving dishes. Items include pappardelle with turkey Bolognese; smoked ham chop with polenta, roasted apple, cippolini onion and smoked hock jus; and chocolate pecan pie with smokey chocolate sauce and blonde chocolate-stracciatella gelato. The restaurant is also offering a slightly abbreviated version of their regular dinner menu à la carte should you want lobster spaghetti instead of turkey.

Longman & Eagle

Those looking for a family-style meal can head to this Bib Gourmand-designated spot in Logan Square. For the holiday, they are offering a number of afternoon and evening seatings for $65 a head. Past menu items have included toasted heritage turkey, green bean casserole, piggy Brussels sprouts and sweet potato pie. Also, "the cocktail program is nothing short of stellar," according to inspectors, so this may be the perfect spot for dealing with pestering relatives.
