MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
In the basement of Zen, this establishment, depicted by a Lilliputian room entirely panelled in wood and graced with tasteful flower arrangements in true Japanese tradition, is devoted entirely to tempura cooking. A dozen or so diners are invited to take a seat around the hinoki counter to watch the chef craft tempura dishes in front of them – authenticity guaranteed! Concise beverages menu: shōchū, beers and sakés.
