A well-know local butcher is behind this stand-alone, meat-focused location. The décor is casual but reflects a great deal of thought—picture a vast space, wood-plank walls donning a colorful butcher mural, and red leather booths. The counter lives in the back along with a window to the shop, where diners can order their food—like over-the-top mains, noodles, sandwiches, and pizzas—and await table service.
Gargantuan portions are the norm and product quality is strong. An Egg MeatMuffin or the Dirty Work (with brisket, butterscotch and a corn pudding-waffle) are breakfast treats; while the lethally hot Goblin noodles is quite simply unmissable. Doused in a black curry sauce and topped with fried chicken, it arrives—mercifully—with a pat of koji butter.
