You’ll think you’re lost as you turn the corner looking for this charming restaurant set right along the Little River in the Upper East Side. But hiding among the trees just under the nose of Biscayne Boulevard is Chef Deborah de Corral’s Argentinian bistro—warm with woven cane screens, intricate patterns and an arched ceiling.
Named after a city north of Buenos Aires, the breezy dining room opens to a waterfront terrace, where Corral shows that she is not afraid of bold, bright flavors. Dishes like poached red prawns spiked with an aji amarillo-lime vinaigrette, and the 36-hour beef rib that's smoked, cooked sous vide and then grilled, drive home the point. A satisfying dulce de leche flan makes a sweet finale to this intimate experience.
