MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
This hugely popular eatery has been serving traditional Sichuanese fare since 1977, but with extra drama in terms of presentation and cooking methods. Don’t be alarmed if your food is set on fire – wild yak steak braised in an earthenware pot is ceremoniously lit at the table before the pot is cracked open with a hammer. The spectacle itself is worth it, not to mention the flavourful and tender yak. Reserve your table early or expect to queue.
