MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Forget the ubiquitous gas grills used at so many run-of-the-mill Korean spots. Low-key and very authentic Soot Bull Jeep elevates their barbecue game by gracing each table with the real charcoal deal for ideal searing and infusing their tender morsels of meat with a delicate char. It may add a bit more smoke to the experience, but it is well worth it and no one seems to mind, as the vibe is always vibrant.

Be sure to try their signature galbi, juicy and well-marbled, char-grilled to perfection with the help of the waitstaff, and served with their own special barbecue sauce. Pair your grilled meats with their array of delicious banchan including spicy spinach kimchi, fish cakes and fire-hot shredded daikon.

Free parking in the back is an added bonus.
