MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The most casual of the trio of Arts District spots from Matteo Ferdinandi and Chef Angelo Auriana (of Factory Place Hospitality Group), this budding pizzeria takes its pie-making very seriously. Its cornicione is perfectly blistered and chewy—whether on a Margherita with slices of salsiccia and broccoli rabe, or even grilled wild boar sausage infused with cumin and fennel. For outright indulgence, go for the montara with dough fried until crisp and piled with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella.

The concise menu is full of classics, including pastas like the al dente lardiata tossed in a tomato sauce with prosciutto and pecorino. Even a classic, like babà au rhum, gets a twist here: pillowy-soft and boozy with vanilla liqueur.
