MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
It’s easy to forget that this locale, in the trendy Arts District on the edge of downtown, is actually the former Nabisco Bakery. The interior feels like a genuine French bistro, right down to the vintage counter, servers’ accents and perhaps most importantly, those excellent baguettes. The perfect way to start off the night is with an Absinthe cocktail before moving through a well-priced meal of soupe à l'oignon, steak frites or bouillabaisse, all made from carefully sourced ingredients. On the domestic front, find a delightful assortment of charcuterie such as chicken liver mousse, duck prosciutto and paté de campagne. Finish with a chocolate pot de crème, or maybe a selection of cheese from their chalkboard listing.
