This restaurant has been run by the family for three generations, and has a homely atmosphere. The standard offering is an assortment of crispy fried shrimp and creamy crab croquettes made with homemade breadcrumbs. Also popular is the beef stew made with demi-glace that takes two weeks to prepare. Turning what’s left of your rice into chazuke to enjoy at the end is very much the Kyoto way.
