Underneath it all, naturally, is a proper luxury boutique hotel, one whose 232 rooms and suites are outfitted with high-end comforts and decorated in a comparatively sedate style, though the floor plans do occasionally indulge in some unusual geometry, in accordance with the curves of the buildings themselves. Some feature walk-in rain showers, others deep soaking tubs, and the views of the lake, the forest, and the mountains are inspiring.
Restaurants include the casual Shake Lobby Lounge and Huijin Chinese Restaurant, an upscale Cantonese/Yunnan concept. Xuan Bar is the spot for afternoon tea as well as cocktails, wine, and whiskeys, and the Pu Bar sits by the side of the hotel’s expansive outdoor swimming pool.
