Located on the shore of Alster Lake, the Fontenay allows easy access to Germany’s largest waterfront city, and lies within walking distance of the Kunsthalle, Bucerius Kunstforum museum, and the most fashionable neighborhoods. But it’s also the ultimate urban escape, which architect Jan Störmer described as his “Hotel in the Park.” Extensive amenities, such as a 8K jogging route, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and an indoor-outdoor pool with panoramic views make getting away from it all that much sweeter. Meanwhile, the 1,022-square-meter rooftop spa feels like a destination unto itself. And the rooms, with touchscreen room controls, walk-in closets, rain showers, and heated floors, are their own private retreats.
