Traditional Elegance 和 Quiet

The conical structures known as trulli are among the most distinctive of Puglia’s traditional building forms, and it’s perhaps unsurprising that Leonardo Trulli Resort leans all the way in to the charm of these whitewashed stone buildings. It’s set on the outskirts of Locorotondo, an inland town midway between Bari and Brindisi, and it benefits from the pastoral tranquility of its rural setting.

Surrounded by gardens and groves, the resort’s trulli are joined by a central farmhouse, which contains a few more rooms; those in the trulli themselves might be more atmospheric, but the masseria rooms are handsome in their own right, similarly whitewashed but a touch more polished. An expansive pool is the centerpiece of the daytime social life, while such diversions as yoga, padel, and massages are available. The restaurant serves classic Puglian fare crafted from ingredients grown in the resort’s own garden, and cooking classes are offered as well.
