Located on a pedestrian street in the old quarter of San Sebastián with plenty of competition and popular with tourists, after crossing the busy pintxo bar on the ground floor, you enter the well-kept dining room upstairs, where chef Pablo Loureiro presents a ‘renewed’ version of traditional Basque cuisine with some good market suggestions, seafood and both grilled meats and fish. A word of advice? Don’t miss the grilled flatfish, like the sole or turbot, or the hake kokotxas in any of their preparations (grilled, battered or pil-pil).
