The Latest London Restaurants Added to The MICHELIN Guide

Explore the hottest restaurants in the capital right now, which have all thrilled the Michelin Inspectors

There are few cities in the world that can go toe-to-toe with London when it comes to restaurants. With dozens of international cuisines represented across a dining scene that also boasts 78 Michelin-Starred establishments, it is quite simply one of the best places to eat around the globe. With London’s culinary map constantly evolving, our Inspectors add new restaurants to The Guide every month, while the much-coveted Stars and other awards are announced once a year. Click here for the latest additions across the UK & Ireland.

This month’s fresh selection of Inspector-approved spots is an apt reflection of London’s ability to evolve and adapt over time, to provide the city’s diners with the culinary zeitgeist. Take the addition of not one but two fully plant-based restaurants, for example, which are working to satisfy a growing appetite for high-end meat-free cooking. The new restaurant from Insta-famous chef Whyte Rushen, meanwhile, is current in the extreme, from its Hackney location to its graffiti-scrawled sign. And, with the Inspectors having been thoroughly impressed by Korean restaurant Miga, we have yet more proof of London’s status as a global culinary melting pot.

Holy Carrot, North Kensington

Vegan

With a name that wears its plant-based heart on its sleeve, Holy Carrot is a great example of how fun, creative and downright delicious vegetable-led cuisine can be. The wide array of cooking techniques applied to the plant produce makes the menu particularly appealing.

July, Bloomsbury

Modern French, Alsatian

What a lovely restaurant this is. Run with big smiles and a bucketload of enthusiasm, it’s exactly what you want from a modern London bistro. The cooking takes the kind of uncomplicated, flavour-packed approach that ensures you leave feeling fully satisfied.

Miga, Hackney

Korean

If there’s an area of London that’s been catching the eye of the city’s foodies for the last couple of years, it’s Hackney. Miga is another fine example of how this east London borough continues to go from strength to strength – in this case thanks to punchy Korean dishes that come with eminently appealing price tags.

Plates London, Shoreditch

Vegan, Vegetarian

Distinctive among London’s vegan restaurants for offering its dishes in a tasting menu format, Plates is the passion project of ‘Great British Menu’ winner Kirk Haworth. A dash of creativity and reverence for quality vegetables results in impressive plant-based dishes.

The Fuji Grill, Belgravia

Japanese

From nigiri to robata, this stylish restaurant brings an array of Japanese favourites to the distinctly British surroundings of Beaverbrook Townhouse. The flexibility in its menus is particularly enticing, as you can drop in for a bento box or celebrate with a full omakase offering at the counter.

The Park, Bayswater

American, Italian

It’s no surprise that The Park comes from seasoned restaurateur Jeremy King. Over the years, he’s been behind some of the city’s most successful brasseries – and now it looks like he’s got another hit on his hands. With a great atmosphere, an efficient team, a brilliant location and a menu full of classics, what’s not to love?

World Cuisine

Having gained a reputation with his supper clubs, the self-styled chef ‘Whyte Rushen’ now has a permanent restaurant incorporating global influences that differ from month to month. One thing you can always be sure of is that the food will be bold and intense in flavour, fitting the confident, overwhelmingly fun nature of the place.
