Not far from the Emerald Coast of northeastern Sardinia is a classic farmhouse complex that’s gone the way of so many Mediterranean farmhouses — transformed into a modern boutique hotel called Cascioni Eco Retreat. It’s an all-suite hotel, and each one comes with its on patio, garden, and pool, as well as indoor lounge space and all the comforts you’d expect from a modern country-house hotel. The hotel’s small spa makes use of local olive oil and sea salt, as does the restaurant, where guests are introduced to the almost absurdly bountiful tradition that is Sardinian cooking.
