The Biohotel Hermitage began life as a farmhouse owned by the Maffei family, later transformed into a guesthouse and, in 1999, into one of the region’s first boutique eco-friendly hotels. The region in question is Trentino, where days revolve around skiing, après-ski, a massage in the spa, and dinner with a view of the mountains.
Set just outside Madonna di Campiglio, the hotel feels pleasantly removed from the bustle of the ski-season crowds. Rooms are spacious and serene, with heated floors, generous bathrooms, and private balconies overlooking the peaks. The Mini and Junior Suites have the charm of chic mountain cabins, with lofty beamed ceilings, multiple bathrooms, and separate areas for sleeping or relaxing — perfect for families.
A complimentary shuttle runs to the slopes throughout the day, and if you arrive without gear, the Maffei family operate a rental shop on site. Later, you might select a bottle from the well-stocked stone wine cellar or unwind with a swim in the panoramic pool.
