10 Chefs Take On The #10yearchallenge

We combed the social media accounts of your favourite chefs to bring you their takes on the viral challenge, the funniest transformations and those who haven’t aged a day.

We know. The viral #10yearchallenge has been flooding your feed, with millions of users posting photos of what they looked like 10 years ago versus now. And it seems like chefs around the world are hopping on the bandwagon too! We take a look at some of them:

Helena Rizzo
Helena Rizzo recently graced the silver screen on “The Final Table”, Netflix’s culinary competition series. This young chef is also the co-owner of one-Michelin-starred Maní in São Paulo and here’s her take on the #10yearchallenge. We think she still looks as rock 'n' roll then as she does now.

David Chang
Another chef who has taken on the challenge is David Chang, the star of Netflix’s thought-provoking “Ugly Delicious”. His restaurant Ko Momofuku clinched two Michelin stars in the MICHELIN Guide New York last November. Do you spot any difference?

Gordon Ramsay
Most of us would definitely remember this potty-mouthed chef from Hell’s Kitchen. Chef Gordon, it seems you haven’t changed a bit, pencil and all.

Umberto Bombana
Here's Italian chef and co-owner of three-Michelin-starred restaurant 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana and his same bright smile, 10 years apart.

Richie Lin
And this Taiwanese chef of one-Michelin-starred MUME who did a comparison with his son. With their identical faces (and poses!), they definitely made it to one of the cutest #10yearchallenges we have seen.

Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn
Chef Ton is one of the frontrunners of contemporary Thai cuisine in Bangkok, attaining a Michelin star in the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok 2019 for his fine-dining restaurant Le Du. The boyish-looking chef does a #30yearchallenge to show us how well he’s aged.
