Oktoberfest Gets A Gourmet Upgrade At RWS

The one night-only beer festival will feature original Oktoberfest-inspired bratwursts from the resort's Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrity chefs

Fans of Michelin-starred dining and of Oktoberfest can now have the best of both worlds at Resorts World Sentosa. For the very first time in its six year history, the popular dining and recreation destination will be organising its own take on the raucous German beer festival tradition for one night only on October 1.

The headlining act of the evening of sumptuous feasting is the platter of Oktoberfest-inspired bratwursts - each one thoughtfully created by the resort's stable of Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrity chefs. Sup on original creations such as one-Michelin-starred contemporary Chinese restaurant Forest’s aromatic Five Spice Pork Sausage, or a juicy Byron Bay Berkshire Pork Garlic Sausage from Osia Steak and Seafood Grill, which also received one Michelin star in the inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore.

Plumping up the rest of the platter are a Salsiccia Italian sausage from Fratelli helmed by Enrico and Roberto Cerea (whose family runs three-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio in Italy), and a delicious Duck and Foie Gras Sausage by Curate, the host establishment for the Art at Curate series of dinners.

Hungry for more? Revellers can also fill up on an all-you-can-eat Oktoberfest buffet of traditional German fare such as a sauerkraut medley with pickled purple cabbage, roasted pork knuckle and chicken marinated with dark beer.

Wash it all down with a stein of Erdinger Oktoberfest beer, a special limited edition brew available only for the season, as you sway along to the joyful live beats by Ois Easy, the resident band at many beer festivals around the world. Prost!
