Cascioni Eco Retreat

15 Rooms
Modern Design & Quiet
One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
Not far from the Emerald Coast of northeastern Sardinia is a classic farmhouse complex that’s gone the way of so many Mediterranean farmhouses — transformed into a luxe and glamorous modern boutique hotel. Cascioni Eco Retreat is, as its name suggests, not just about luxury; its mission is to be a good steward of the land that it occupies, and to immerse its guests in the island’s considerable natural splendor.
It’s an all-suite hotel, and each one comes with its own patio, garden, and pool, as well as indoor lounge space and all the comforts you’d expect from a modern country-house hotel. The interiors are contemporary in style, but take their cues from traditional Sardinian construction, lending them a richness of texture and a rustic-luxe personality.
The hotel’s small spa makes use of local olive oil and sea salt, as does Ulìa, the restaurant, where guests are introduced to the almost absurdly bountiful tradition that is Sardinian cooking. The adjacent lounge, meanwhile, specializes in local wines and craft beers. Classes in cookery and crafts are available on site, and farther afield, arrangements may be made for sailing excursions, nature walks, and all manner of Sardinian explorations.
