Base is Nice is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant. Chef/owner Jang Jin-a had a fairly long career overseas as a restaurant consultant, food stylist, and food & beverage planner. The diner’s natural ambience and well-balanced, vegetable-centered dishes are proud manifestations of her lifelong culinary endeavors. Creations of rice and vegetables, accompanied by soup and side dishes, are refined and tasty. As Jang puts it, the restaurant’s menu is a way to experience everyday food through a natural, veggie-centered diet, and not thanks to a conscious approach to vegetarianism. Reservation required.
