VÕIVÕI offers something a little different by combining a restaurant, a bookshop, a florist and also a small exhibition space. Set in a modern office building, it occupies two floors, with the upper-level home to a smart cocktail bar and lounge. Fire and butter lead the way on the boldly flavoured menus, with fish, meat and game all cooked over wood to impart a smokey flavour, and a ‘butter index’ illustrating how much has been used in each dish; you might find pikeperch with carrot cream and beurre blanc. Midday, meanwhile, sees office workers dropping by for their good value one-course lunch.
