MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
A villa-style property located on the approach to Bombarral. This family-run restaurant has a functional-contemporary dining room in which the portrait of King José I of Portugal, painted on azulejos, is particularly striking, as is the unusual glass-enclosed wine cellar, which guests can enter to choose their wine. The concise but constantly changing menu reflects the full essence of authentic Portuguese home cooking. Specialities here include the breaded fillets of sole with rice and tartare sauce, and the “feijoada” of black pork.
