Casa Frida is part of a sprawling complex in the Valle de Guadalupe with several outlets on offer, including a tasting room for wine and agave spirits, and a patio bar overlooking the vineyards. The dining room at this formal restaurant is spacious with an airy feeling, attractively arranged with an encaustic tiled floor in shades of grey, rows of tables and a grey stone bar fronting a colorful tile wall with insets for bottles.
The menu is an extensive offering of Chef Carlos Esquivel's cuisine. There are cold and hot starters, like an aguachile negro or tuna tostada. Entrees present the elegant tlacoyo filled with black beans and topped with diced octopus and pico de gallo. For groups, there are platters of grilled meats.
