Trondheim’s loss was Oslo’s gain when Credo relocated to a unique space in the contemporary wing of the National Library, an imposing 1914 building decorated with Emanuel Vigeland frescoes. Pioneering Chef Heidi Bjerkan leads the team and remains strong in her vision, viewing food as “a cultural expression” and advocating for healthy habits, environmental awareness and animal welfare. Her finely prepared dishes are as attractive as the surroundings, with top Norwegian produce including some terrific seafood and the latest produce to reach its peak – maybe the first of the season’s rhubarb or sweet, juicy lamb.

We are committed to a more responsible gastronomy through close collaboration with local producers and a strong focus on regenerative and ethically sourced ingredients. We produce our own bread from home-milled organic flour, we work carefully to reduce food waste and we support local artisans (linen placemats and wall hangings made from Norwegian flax in the dining room for example).
