This corner of Occitanie is sometimes referred to as “little Tuscany,” and it’s not hard to see the resemblance at Cap de Castel, a trio of historic buildings that happen to be set within the walls of a 13th-century Cathar castle, with a view over the medieval town of Puylaurens. Its eleven rooms vary in size as well as in their individual character, but as a rule blend an antique richness and a contemporary sensibility. The hotel’s little pool is a delight, and the restaurant’s seasonal menu is served on the terrace during the summer months.

Stayed September 2023

This hotel was the last one on our two week tour and simply was the most unique and French. The Hotel has been done up beautifully and in keeping with the building and the views are stunning. Pool area is lovely and the pool warm. The owner and his staff were very friendly and efficient. We stayed for the evening meal and it was simply the best we have had in a long time. Huge compliments to the Chef and team, Book it you really wont be disappointed. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay and meal
