Von Deska Townhouses - The White House is a relatively unassuming name for an impressive, if low-key, hotel. In one sense it’s just what it says it is: a whitewashed mansion on the city’s relatively central Rothenbaumchaussee. But a thorough renovation in 2009 transformed it into an apartment-style hotel with all the style and comforts of a luxury boutique hotel — plus kitchens equipped with dishwashers, for easy self-catering. There are just two units: a one- and a two-bedroom apartment, and each comes with sofa beds to accommodate an additional two children per bedroom. Ideal for low-maintenance travelers with boutique-hotel taste.
