Contemporary Classic & Lively
Many of Rome’s finest hotels are on the smaller side, but not this one: the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel is a proper full-scale grand hotel, a 232-room monument behind a neoclassical façade facing the Piazza della Repubblica.

Though the Anantara brand was born in Thailand, this hotel is as Roman as they come, right down to the rooms and suites, which are decorated in a style that suits the 19th- and 18th-century buildings from which the hotel is made. Modern comforts, however subtle, are present as well, and some of the views are genuinely extraordinary — among the wide variety of suites are some that overlook the Piazza della Repubblica, the Diocletian Baths, and the Fountain of Naiads.

Meanwhile, where the Anantara name goes, a lavish Anantara Spa is never far behind; this kind of relaxation in the very heart of Rome is rare indeed. Among the hotel’s restaurants are the fine-dining INEO and the rooftop SEEN, which offers its own spectacular views over the rooftops of Rome.
