This intimate little restaurant with a buzzing, neighbourly atmosphere calls itself a "gastrobar", and that pretty much hits the nail on the head, as food and drinks have equal billing here. Located in the Kreuzkölln neighbourhood, this place is run by the two owners, who divide their time between the kitchen and service. Although limited, the à la carte selection is well-devised, comprising ambitious modern dishes such as "scallop, coral, sea urchin", "monk's beard, limequat vinaigrette, calamansi" or "hanging tender, black cabbage, panella, panna cotta, Malabar pepper". There is also a 10-course tasting menu for two or more people to share. A glance at the drinks menu is enough to reveal their passion for carefully selected wines, their own cocktail creations and house-made kombucha – and guests are taken through the options by the charming and enthusiastic staff, who bring a pleasingly personal touch.
