MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

This pretty timber building in a chic, leafy suburb of Moscow is home to arguably the best of what is currently on offer in Russia. Chef Ekaterina (who trained at Le Cordon Bleu school in Paris and also worked in Spain) places the emphasis on all things natural and sustainable: vintage and recycled furniture, short supply chains where possible and composted food waste. The short menu showcases top-notch seasonal vegetables and fruit (including from the kitchen garden). Freshness, strong flavours and subtle seasonings: the new healthy and modern Russian cuisine! A real winner.

The chef's commitment
A farm-to-table approach with vegetables, fruit and flowers from the chef's garden in season, beef and duck from local farms. The sustainable philosophy extends to the design of the restaurant with its salvaged materials, upcycled furniture and vintage cutlery and plates.
