MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Ceviche enthusiasts know that this petite, blue-walled restaurant is the place to go for the finest of raw fish. Though owners Carolina and Julio Orellana hail from Guatemala, their seafood-centric menu spans the map of Latin American flavors, with options ranging from shrimp sautéed in Caribbean-spiced coconut milk to fried Baja-style fish tacos, drizzled with spicy mayo.

The number-one draw, though, remains ceviche, particularly the “bloody clams” version. This maroon-tinted preparation has won them a legion of loyal devotees. If they're all sold out, the shrimp and octopus ceviche tostada, zesty with lime juice and topped with ripe avocado, is a worthy substitute. Savvy diners must save room for Carolina’s expertly made tres leches cake.
