Up here, at an altitude of around 1 000m, there is much to get excited about: the phenomenal view of the Emmental and the Alps – either from the modern, elegant restaurant with its large window front or the magnificent terrace – is complemented by good food with a regional and seasonal focus. For a cheaper but equally indulgent alternative, head to Beiz. The terrific wine selection boasts around 800 different options. Chic guestrooms are available in the adjoining boutique hotel.
