MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Nostalgia for his hometown cuisine led the late Gaeseong native Choi Sang-ok to open Yongsusan in 1982. Among this heritage restaurant’s signature dishes is Gaeseong-style wrapped kimchi, which consists of small bundles of kimchi, wrapped inside a cabbage leaf with fresh seafood such as shrimp and small octopus, and matured in a flavorful clear beef broth. Yongsusan is located on a quiet street, right next to picturesque Changdeok Palace.
