The folks at Bukmakgol weren't exaggerating when they labeled their specialty dish as 'cavemen-style ribs'. The meatiest short ribs of a cow are braised until tender, then served doused in a special garlic sauce that cuts the richness of the beef. Another specialty dish of the restaurant is the pork belly with garlic, which is first boiled until soft, basted in garlic oil and then quick-roasted for additional flavor.
