MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The name of the restaurant derives from the location of owner-chef Kazuaki Baba’s restaurant in Takagamine, an area formerly known as Otagi County. “Since you took the trouble to come all this way…” is a favoured phrase with which he welcomes patrons. The exuberant uniqueness of the menu delights diners, with offerings such as duck charcoal-grilled on low heat, cream croquettes of fugu shirako, and dandan noodles à la mode japonais of hand-made udon.
