Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
Yokote took over the restaurant from original owner Tsujimura but shares the same desire to serve reasonably priced tempura in a casual atmosphere. Emphasising freshness above all else, he chooses the seafood himself. He also makes sure to serve ingredients like icefish, young ayu and oysters when they’re in season. Donburi (bowls of rice topped with different ingredients) and teishoku (set meals) are available at both lunch and dinner, a sign of the restaurant’s strong roots in the local community.
