MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

This restaurant has the air of a tea ceremony room. As you might expect from a chef who trained in Kyoto, the menu has a Kyoto-like feel to it. Authentic kaiseki is offered, including seasonal hassun and Kyoto vegetable takiawase. Cooked in a wood-fuelled stove, the rice is to be savoured for its fresh, plump moistness and sweetness. Side dishes include dried sardines and chirimen sansho.
