A husband-wife team from Iwate brings you the flavours of their home – like edible wild plants in spring and Japanese mitten crab in autumn The first thing to order is the vegetable set menu – Iwate cuisine at its finest – which includes a side dish of boiled greens in bonito-flavoured soy sauce, pickles, and soup. Meat dishes, like guinea fowl and duck are also available. The ‘Mulberry Udon’, with mulberry buds kneaded into the dough, makes for a fitting end.
