Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
The second-generation owner of Seiyoryori Shichijo, who inherited it from his father, runs it with his family. Lunch consists of comfort food such as set meals of hamburger steak and deep-fried shrimp. In the evening, items from the owner-chef’s apprenticeship in French cuisine are added to the mix. Beef cheek simmered in red wine sauce and roast lamb are faithful to tradition and fine companions to a glass of wine. Western favourites at lunchtime, French cuisine in the evening is the Shichijo way.
