MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Owner-chef Yahei Suzuki serves traditional, regional Italian cuisine. Hitachi beef and other ingredients are procured from his home prefecture of Ibaraki, and the vegetables come mostly from Kyoto. Made with quality ingredients, the dishes are straightforward, such as the roast lamb and Milan-style veal cutlets. He’s also impressively flexible, saying, “If I’ve got the ingredients on hand, I’ll even do carbonara or arrabbiata sauce”.
