MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The menu the owner-chef puts together is a rich array of seasonal seafood, such as horsehair crab and kichiji rockfish from Hokkaido, ayu from the Shimanto River, and grouper and longtooth grouper from Kyushu. We recommend starting with the ‘Kisetsu no Sanpin’ (‘Seasonal Trio’) which is a selection of appetisers, sashimi and nimono. The standard dish to end with is takikomi-gohan that gives you the full flavours of the season.
